Kizz Daniel responds to Shettima's comment about 'Buga'

Nigerian music sensation Kizz Daniel has responded to the recent statement made by Nigerian Vice President Kashim Shettima, suggesting that Buga is gradually assuming the status of the country's unofficial second national anthem.

As reported by NotjustOk, Vice President, Shettima commended Kizz Daniel and Tekno's 2023 hit track, Buga, during an interview with Arise TV on Tuesday, January 23, 2024. Shettima praised the song's cultural significance and described the associated dance as more than just a viral trend, proposing that it has acquired symbolic importance likened to a second national anthem.

In response to Shettima's comment, Kizz Daniel took to his official social media (X) page on Wednesday, January 24, 2024, to share a video of the interview. The artist affirmed that Buga is not only Nigeria's second anthem but is, in fact, the anthem of the entire continent.

In his social media post, Kizz Daniel stated, "Actually, it is the Continent's Anthem. THANK YOU VICE PRESIDENT KASHIM SHETTIMA."

Since its release in 2022, Buga has garnered widespread acclaim both domestically and internationally, captivating audiences with its distinctive dance moves.
