King Promise Speaks On Wizkid's Sudden Love For Ghana | WATCH

Ghanaian buzzing afrobeats artiste Gregory Bortey Newman, popularly known as King Promise, has revealed what he feels is the reason why Nigerian Afrobeats poster-boy Wizkid has chosen to stay in Ghana for a long time.

It is no longer news that Wizkid, in recent times, has developed a love for Ghana as he spends most of his time in the Gold Coast rather than in his home country, Nigeria.

In an interview with media personality Adesope Olajide, who runs a podcast that resonates around Afrobeats, King Promise, when asked about Wzkid's recent love for Ghana, stated that Big Wiz had always loved the Gold Coast even before he (King Promise) met him.

He went on to state that the serenity and calmness that Ghana oozes might also be the reason why Wizkid loves it over there. According to King Promise, away from Wizkid, a lot of people, even Londoners these days, prefer to go to Ghana for their holiday.

King Promise equally spoke about his forthcoming album in which he stated how much he had put in work to make it a masterpiece. According to the highlife singer, the majority of the album was created during the COVID-19 lockdown, which enabled him to have enough time to reflect on life and then make songs around them
