Nigerian rapper Illbliss has commemorated his late colleague, Oladapo Olaonipekun, popularly known as Dagrin. The indigenous rapper tragically passed away in a fatal car accident on April 22, 2010. On the 14th anniversary of DaGrin's untimely death, Illbliss reflected on his enduring impact, stating that his "legacy will never end".
Through a post shared on April 24, 2024, Illbliss paid tribute to DaGrin, expressing sentiments of remembrance and respect. He acknowledged DaGrin's significant contributions to Nigerian Hip-hop, emphasizing his role as an inspiration to many aspiring artists. DaGrin, widely recognized for his pioneering efforts in indigenous rap, paved the way for a new generation of Nigerian rappers and continued to influence the genre even after his passing.
Illbliss said via social media, "Keep Resting Bro! Your legacy will never end. We remember you. We respect your colossal immeasurable contributions to Nigerian Hiphop. You inspired so many. Keep resting". Other celebrities like Ruggedman also commemorated the death anniversary. He posted a rare video of DaGrin while they were recording the song Emini.
