FOLA, in his latest announcement on social media has confirmed the title as well as the release date of his new album.

Sensational singer and performer FOLA, in his latest post across all social media today, Thursday, September 10, 2026, has confirmed the release date and title of his sophomore album.

The Dangbana Republic singer announced that his next album, titled 9, confirming that the project will be released on October 9, 2026.

The announcement, which follows the release of his hit song 'Treat U Right,' which features Ayra Starr and his explosive collaboration with Davido and Mayorkun on 'B4 B4,' gives fans a release date for the singer’s latest body of work as he continues to build on his growing presence in the Nigerian music scene.

FOLA has enjoyed a steady rise in recent years, establishing himself as one of the emerging voices attracting attention in Afrobeats.

The upcoming project will now give listeners another opportunity to experience the singer’s evolving sound, with attention expected to turn towards its tracklist, featured artistes and production credits as the release date approaches.

Fans would, however, not need to wait till the 9th of October to get a new song from the singer, as he also announced that a new song would be released at midnight today.

FOLA's announcement revealed that the reason behind the title 9 is rooted in what the numeral means in football, which is the number a player known as a striker leading his side's front line wears, but he re-interpreted it as "the artist you call when you need a hit."
