Fireboy DML announces fourth album, plans to make acting debut

Talented Nigerian singer, Fireboy DML, has sparked excitement among fans with a major announcement.

During an interview on Billboard News that surfaced online today, Wednesday, February 27, 2024, Fireboy DML, whose real name is Adedamola Oyinlola Adefolahan, revealed plans to release his fourth album this year, marking another milestone since joining Olamide's YBNL label in 2018.

With three successful albums under his belt - Playboy (2022), Apollo (2020), and Love, Tears and Goosebumps (LTG) (2019) - Fireboy DML continues to captivate audiences with his soulful sound and lyrical prowess.

In addition to his music endeavors, Fireboy DML disclosed his intention to venture into the acting world, signaling a new chapter in his career. He expressed his eagerness to explore this new creative outlet during the interview, stating, "I am also going into the movie industry, I am going into acting."

Reflecting on his journey in the music industry, Fireboy DML credited his senior colleague and record label boss, Olamide, for his success. He revealed that despite receiving offers from other well-known artists, he ultimately chose to sign with YBNL, guided by Olamide's mentorship and support.

While Fireboy DML did not disclose the names of the labels that approached him, he emphasized his conviction that joining YBNL was the right decision for his career. His openness about rejecting other offers showcases the importance of mentorship and strategic decision-making in navigating the music industry.
