Mr Eazi: "Fans Will Be Able to Buy Shares on My Song"

Banku music pioneer and Nigerian singer, Mr Eazi has once again introduced a new business idea relating to music and this time around, it involves the fans. According to him, it’s an experiment in which fans will be able to buy shares on his music which means more money for fans.

He shared the idea on his Twitter where he explained saying; “Gonna try an experiment on my next release where you guys the fans will be able to buy shares on My song! Meaning you will own an equity % on the song! As u stream & give me $ some goes back to You!!!”

Mr Eazi further broke down his idea of buying shares by adding;

Imagine you had a % of my last song with Nicki or my new single “LENTO “ with Jbalvin!!! As u stream, u make it a hit, some of the $ come to you! But most importantly you are a true part of the Global Smash Hit you helped create

For Mr Eazi, the inspiration behind allowing fans buy shares from his music was all the support he’d gotten over the years-- “I have consistently since 2016 been Top 5 most streamed African Artists & that's 100% due to my fans!! I love you guys!! And it’s time to get you in on the equity side!!!”

Prior to this, Mr Eazi introduced EmPawa, a music incubator company which invests in up and coming African artistes and equips them with the knowledge and tools they need.

What do you think of this Mr Eazi's Music Shares idea, yay or nay?
