Drake Reveals How He Made 'One Dance' With Wizkid

The Canadian superstar revealed how the Diamond certification smash tune came to life.

Canadian heavyweight rapper, singer, songwriter, and performer, Aubrey Drake Graham, popularly known as Drake, has opened up on how his collaboration with Nigerian Afrobeats superstar Wizkid, came to existence. 

The OVO frontline act and owner featured Wizkid and British songstress Kyla Reid on the smash tune "One Dance," which was released in 2016 off Drake's album "Views", and in December 2022 scored a diamond certification in the United States selling over ten million units, making it one of Drake's biggest records.

Speaking on his self-owned radio OVO sound, the global star made it known that 'One Dance' came very naturally after he met Wizkid courtesy of Skepta and jumped on the remix of Wizkid's 'Ojuelegba'. The rapper went on to state that he had doubts about 'One Dance' due to how new it was to be fanbase but was happy to have released it eventually.
