The veteran singer has finally broken his silence after his recent arrest by the ICPC on fraud allegations.

Nigerian veteran singer, Dapo Oyebanjo, popularly known as D'banj, has finally spoken up after he was released from ICPC detention.

The singer was arrested on Tuesday, December 6, 2022, over fraud allegations for reportedly colluding with some government officials to divert funds for the government's youth empowerment initiative, N-Power. However, news of his release was announced three days later by his lawyer.

Taking to his Instagram page to confirm his release, the singer made it known that he has nothing to do with fraud and only likes to enjoy life.

Just like his lawyer mentioned earlier, D'banj made it clear that he was released on self-recognition. He wrote:

Global thank you to the world. I was invited on an ongoing investigation in ICPC. I have assisted the commission with all I know and I am confident in their capacity to unravel the truth. I have no business with fraud, all I do is chop life. I was released on self-recognition because nothing was seen or found on me. God bless you all my people.
