D'Banj and Maria Borges to host Trace Awards in Rwanda
Afrobeats music icon D'Banj is set to be the host of the inaugural Trace Africa Music Awards, which will take place in Rwanda.
D'Banj and Angolan supermodel Maria Borges will be the hosts of the inaugural Trace Awards, which will be held on October 21, 2023, at BK Arena Kigali Rwanda.
The Nigerian superstar; D’banj and Angolan supermodel; Maria Borges will bring elegance to the celebration of African Music.
The Trace Music Awards will be celebrating Afro music and talents in Africa. Trace, in partnership with Pepsi, Martell Nigeria, Fly Rwanda Air, and BK arena brings African and African diaspora artists to celebrate the achievement and excellence of the African music industry.
The award show will showcase a variety of African-centered music in genres such as Afrobeat, Dancehall, Hip Hop, Afro-pop, Mbalax, Amapiano, Zouk, Kizomba, R&B, Rumba and much more. The award ceremony be broadcast on Trace TV. Nigerian superstars like Tiwa Savage, Ayra Starr, Nissi, Davido, Asake, Burna Boy, and Rema are nominated for multiple categories. Asake, Davido, Rema, and Burna Boy are competing against Diamond Platnumz, Didi B and K.O for Best Male Artist.
