Davido supports Tunde Onakoya's Guinness World Record attempt in New York

King of Afrobeat Davido has offered his support for Chess Master Tunde Onakoya as he attempts to break the Guinness World record for the Longest Chess marathon.

After his electrifying concert at Madison Square Garden, Davido made his way to Times Square, New York City to offer his support to Chess In Slums master Tunde Onakoya as he attempts to break the Guinness world record for the Longest Chess Marathon.

The collaboration between Davido and Tunde underscores the power of unity and support within the creative community. Tunde's goal is to surpass 58 hours. Currently, he has played for over 41 hours. The Chess match started on April 17 and is scheduled to end on April 19, 2024.

Davido also gave Tunde his iconic 30BG chain which Tunde Onakoya was wearing proudly. Other celebrities and prominent figures have been to visit him and offer support. Nigerian artist Adekunle Gold and Nigerian activist Yele Sowore also offered their support. Adekunle Gold donated money, brand-new iPads, and equipment needed for live streaming.
