Popular Nigerian singer, Adekunle Gold has provided enthusiastic support for chess prodigy, Tunde Onakoya as he attempted to break the Guinness World Record for the longest unbeaten chess marathon in Times Square, New York.

In a video shared on social media on Wednesday, April 17, 2024, the father of one was seen cheering Onakoya on, providing encouragement and support as the chess master pursued his record-breaking attempt. Gold made his presence known by standing behind Onakoya and reassuring him with the words in Yoruba, "I am behind you, do not worry, there is no shaking."

Onakoya is known for his exceptional chess skills and has previously made headlines by defeating ten white opponents simultaneously and winning all games. His attempt at the record-breaking feat in New York drew attention and admiration from many, including the popular music star.

Gold's presence at Times Square is evidence of his support for Onakoya and the growing recognition of Nigerian talent on the world stage.
