Renowned Nigerian music sensation, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has shared insights into his relationship with his wife, Chioma Adeleke.

In a recent interview that surfaced online today, Monday, March 25, 2024, Davido disclosed that he met Chioma before achieving fame and fortune as a superstar.

Expressing the significance of meeting Chioma during a time when he had not yet attained wealth and fame, Davido emphasized the importance of having genuine connections, especially in matters of love and marriage. He admitted that meeting Chioma before his rise to stardom was crucial, as it helped him avoid potential challenges of discerning true intentions in relationships.

Davido showcased his happiness in maintaining a close circle of friends who have been with him since his humble beginnings. He highlighted the value of staying grounded and surrounded by individuals who knew him before his fame and fortune.

Reflecting on his journey, Davido shared cases of friends who expressed longing for companionship, emphasizing the importance of genuine connections over material success. He expressed gratitude for having Chioma by his side before his ascent to stardom, acknowledging the authenticity of their relationship.

In his words; “I have a friend, anytime I am on the phone with my wife, he would say he has everything in the world, but a wife is what he is missing. I met my wife before I had money, but I was telling myself if I didn’t meet her before then and now I am single, and I meet a girl, it wouldn’t be the same. I would feel the lady is talking to me because I am Davido and I have money."

“My own success is when I see people around who were there when I had nothing and they see me now, that’s the feeling, not like when you blow up and start hanging out with a new set of people. You need to keep the people that were there with you since grinding,” He added.

Davido's revelations shed light on the complexities of navigating relationships in the spotlight and the importance of maintaining authentic connections amidst fame and fortune.
