How I Helped My Dad Seal Deal with World Bank Governor - Davido

The award-winning singer was able to use his career, which his dad was initially against, to help him secure a deal.

Heavyweight Nigerian singer David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, told a story about how he was able to link his dad with the governor of the World Bank.

The DMW frontline act and owner, who is currently promoting his latest album 'Timeless," continues to tell detailed stories of how much sacrifice he made to get to the point he has gotten to in his career.

Speaking in the interview with American media personality Big Boy, the 30-year-old singer highlighted how much he was willing to do music—so much so that he got on bad terms with his billionaire father, Adedeji Adeleke.

To emphasize his "I've made it moment", the singer made it known that he was able to help his dad connect with world bank governor David Malpass, whom his dad has been trying to connect with for a long time.

Davido, who performed at the last World Cup, shared the same space with Malpass, and as soon as he saw the American economist, he quickly linked him up with his dad, and a deal was secured. According to the award-winning singer, that was a moment of joy for him, having been able to help his dad with a career path he initially didn't want him to take.
