Award winning Nigerian star, David Adeleke, known by his stage name Davido, made history as he became the latest Afrobeats artist to perform at the iconic Madison Square Garden in New York City.

The sold-out concert took place on Wednesday, April 17, 2024, marking the first time Davido has performed at the legendary venue.

As part of his Timeless Tour, Davido captivated the audience with a selection of his hit songs, including Skelewu, Over Dem, Dami Duro, Gobe, Stand Strong, Feel, and Unavailable. His dynamic performance not only showcased his musical talent but also his dedication to uplifting others in the industry.

In line with his "we rise by lifting others" mantra, Davido brought fellow artists, Teni, Zlatan Ibile, Fave, The Cavemen, and Ghana's Stonebwoy on stage, adding to the night's diverse and energetic atmosphere.

In an unexpected and heartwarming moment, Davido extended his generosity to a female fan who attended the concert with a poster asking him to pay her loan. Moved by her request, Davido pledged $50,000 (over N50 million) towards her loan repayment.

Davido joins the ranks of other Nigerian superstars who have performed at Madison Square Garden, including Wizkid and Burna Boy. His monumental performance at the venue further cements Afrobeats' global influence and highlights Davido's significant impact on the genre.
