Abuja Municipal Area Council to name streets after Davido and his uncle
The Abuja Municipal Area Council has announced its plan to honour Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, and his nephew David Adeleke.
Basically, it announced intentions to name streets after them. This recognition is in appreciation of Adeleke's contributions to infrastructural development in Osun State. It is also due to Davido's impact in the entertainment industry. The announcement was made in a statement by the spokesperson for the Osun State Governor, Olawale Rasheed. He announced it on Twitter on Tuesday.
According to the statement, the council nominated Governor Ademola Adeleke for the honour of having a street named after him, also acknowledging his outstanding contributions to infrastructural development in Osun State. Additionally, Davido will have a street named after him in Abuja to recognize his contributions to the entertainment industry.
The council's letter highlighted the achievements of both individuals and invited them to confirm their formal acceptance of this nomination. Davido took to his Instagram story and commented with an emoji of the Nigerian flag and another emoji that signifies growth which has gotten fans excited.
