Nigerian singer, Dammy Krane has stirred up a storm on social media with his recent assertion that street-pop sensation, Habeeb Okikola, popularly known as Portable Zazu, currently holds more relevance than internationally acclaimed artist, Ayo Balogun, famously known as Wizkid.

Krane, who has been actively engaging in discussions surrounding the ongoing drama between fellow artists Davido and BNXN, made waves when he suggested that Nigerian-British rapper, Skepta played a pivotal role in Portable's surge in relevance.

The singer took to his social media handle on Friday, Match 8, 2024, to express his sentiments stating, "(Let me rephrase for the unintelligent ones) 'Atp Portable is more relevant than Wizkid.' God use Skepta do this one again."

The controversy stems from the success of Portable and Skepta's collaborative track, Tony Montana, which has garnered over a million streams, according to previous reports by NotjustOk.

Dammy Krane's comments have sparked intense debate among music enthusiasts and fans of both artists, with many expressing contrasting opinions on the matter. While some agree with Krane's assessment, others vehemently defend Wizkid's status as one of Nigeria's most influential musicians.

As the discourse continues to unfold online, it remains to be seen how Wizkid and Portable will respond to Dammy Krane's controversial statement, further fueling the ongoing conversation within the Nigerian music industry.
