Dammy Krane arrested over alleged defamation against Davido

Nigerian singer Dammy Krane, whose real name is Oyindamola Johnson Emmanuel, has been arrested over alleged defamation against music star Davido.

The arrest comes after Dammy Krane accused Davido of murder and made other derogatory claims against him on social media.

According to reports, Davido's lawyer had given Dammy Krane 24 hours to retract his statements and refrain from further defamatory comments or face legal action. However, Dammy Krane continued to make allegations against Davido. This includes claims that he was a witness to Davido's involvement in the death of Tagbo.

Meanwhile, in a statement posted on his social media timeline, Dammy Krane alleged that Davido had paid people to arrest him. Also, he added that a petition had been written accusing him of Flutter Wave and crypto scams. Additionally, he called on fans to hold Davido responsible if anything happens to him. He also cited the similar treatment of fellow singer Mohbad.

Although, the arrest has sparked controversy. While many called for justice, others questioned the motives behind Dammy Krane's detention. Lastly, the incident has highlighted the ongoing feud between the two singers, with many fans taking sides on social media.
