CKay and Amaarae Feature in TikTok's Annual Music Report | SEE DETAILS
TikTok has released their list of the top emerging artists on the app for 2021 including Nigerian and Ghanaian singers; CKay and Amaarae.
CKay and Amaarae have made the list for TikTok's Emerging Artists of 2021 after an amazing year for both of them with viral hits to their names. The list was released on Monday, the 13th of December 2021.
Both Amaarae and CKay secured Billboard Hot 100 entries this year with their hit songs. CKay's Love Nwantiti which was released back in 2019 as part of his CKay The First EP blew up this year courtesy of a remix with Moroccan rapper, El Grande Toto. The song became almost inescapable on TikTok amassing over a million video creations.
Amaarae's Sad Girls Luv Money was released on her 2020 album, The Angel You Don't Know, and she created a remix version with Kali Uchis and Molly which became a TikTok sensation.

CKay and Amaarae made the TikTok Emerging Artists of 2021 list along with acts like Coi Leray, Baby Tate, and Jay Wheeler. The list contained the artists that made waves on TikTok this year.
