Davido, Tiwa Savage nominated for MTV EMAs

Davido & Tiwa Savage have been Nominated For "MTV" EMAs.

With The "MTV" Europe Music Awards getting closer, "MTV" has released their nominees' list for the 2018 award ceremony.  and this list includes six top artistes from Africa namely Tiwa Savage(Nigeria), Davido (Nigeria), Distruction Boyz (South Africa) Nyanshinski (Kenya) Fally Pupa (DRC) and Shekhinah (South Africa)

The "MTV EMAs" award ceremony will take place at the Bilbao Exhibition Centre, Barakaldo, Biscay on Sunday, 4th of November at 9:00 pm CAT and there will be a global live broadcast streaming the show for all to enjoy.

Cuban-American singer, Camila Cabello leads the nomination with six nominations including "Best Video" and "Best Song" for her hit single, Havana featuring Young Thug. She was also nominated for Best Artist alongside other international artists such as Ariana Grande and Post Malone who were right behind with five MTV EMAs nominations.

Davido had won the "MTV" EMAs for the Best African Act and Best Worldwide Act in 2017 winning other nominees in his category including Wizkid.

Speaking at the Viacom International Media Networks(VIMN Africa), the Vice President for Youth, Music and BET, Monde Twala said;

“2018 has been an incredible year globally for African culture, music and talent.”

“Once again, the 2018 MTV EMAs features Africa’s most celebrated entertainers who have the opportunity to showcase their talent through the MTV EMA Best Africa Act category at the annual awards.

Speaking on how artistes have been selected, the Vice President said;

“Our nominees reflect the continent's diversity and talent on par with international artists. Congratulations to all our Africa nominees, who continue to affirm Africa’s place on the global stage.”
