Afrobeat Rising Star, CKay Pens A Global Deal With Warner Music

Having made his mark in the music industry, afrobeats rising star and producer, Chukwuka Ekweani popularly known as CKay penned a global deal with Warner music.

Warner Music South Africa took to their social media page on the 27th of November 2020 to welcome their new artist, CKay. The post reads:

We’re thrilled to welcome @ckay_yo to the Warner Music family! The star is working on his sophomore album and first major label debut which is set to drop in 2021! Welcome to the family, CKay! ?

Following a breakout year, and a successful partnership between Chocolate City Group and Warner Music South Africa, CKay is ready to share his new music. He is currently finalising his sophomore EP and first major label project, scheduled for early 2021.  The first cut, Felony drops on 4 December 2020.

In 2020, Ckay’s single was featured on Diddy’s TeamLove.com Danceathon raising relief funds during the COVID-19 pandemic. Later in the year, he dropped a series of remixes of ‘love nwantiti’ featuring friends from around the World - Elgrande Toto from Morocco, Franglish hailing from France, Gemini Major from Malawi and US latin star De La Ghetto,among them. This November 2020 saw a culmination of sorts – a feature and co-production credits on Nigerian superstar Davido’s A Better Time album, alongside Lil Baby, Sho Madjozi, Nicki Minaj and more.
