2Baba breaks silence on disappearance rumors

Legendary Nigerian singer Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, has finally addressed widespread rumors surrounding his alleged disappearance and supposed kidnapping.
This comes weeks after his mother publicly expressed concern over his whereabouts, even filing a petition with the Department of State Services (DSS).
Amid the growing speculation of his disappearance, 2Baba was spotted several times in public with his rumored lover, Natasha Osawaru. However, his silence on the matter only fueled further speculation—until now.
During a recent performance at a comedy show hosted by comedian Acapella, the African Queen hitmaker took a moment to address the controversy, doing so with his trademark sense of humor. “Allegedly, I have been missing. Allegedly, I have been kidnapped,” he said playfully. “So this show is to generate money for the kidnappers to release me,” he added, drawing laughter from the audience.
The remarks, though lighthearted, are the first public acknowledgment of the situation from 2Baba himself.
Meanwhile, Natasha Osawaru has also spoken out, denying claims of holding the singer against his will. She insisted that 2Baba came to her of his own free will and dismissed accusations of being involved in any form of spiritual manipulation, including rumors surrounding a beaded bracelet he was seen wearing.
Despite the humorous tone of 2Baba’s comments, no formal statement has been released by the singer or his family to clarify the initial missing person reports or the nature of his relationship with Natasha. The incident has left fans both amused and concerned as they await further updates.
