Spotify announces inaugural event to celebrate over 13 billion Afrobeats streams
Spotify is hosting an exciting event called The Celebration in Lagos, featuring talented artists such as Ruger, Fave, Shallipopi, Bloody Civilian, and SARZ.
The event is an invite-only celebration of Afrobeats. The streaming service with a record of over 200 million paid users says that they want to celebrate Afrobeats’ milestones over the years, including being streamed more than 13 billion times in 2022 on Spotify alone.
They also introduced a tracking platform, afrobeats.byspotify.com for users to track the growth of afrobeats over the years. It's no wonder since they are celebrating Afrobeats.
