Yatapita was shot at Dar Es Salaam Tanzania starting from the Posta area. The opening scene where Diamond Platnumz is seen being harassed by his Chinese employer is at Ubungo Dar Es Salaam and according to Mtu Imara of Banda La Video, the Chinese employer is the real owner of the factory where this scene was shot.
The scene where Diamond Platnumz leaves her girlfriend at the bus stop when wrestling for a seat in the crowded bus was shot at Upanga Dar Es Salaam. The Bus stop scene is one of the most captivating scenes in the video.
Yatapita music video has proven once and again that Tanzanian musicians no longer need to fly to South Africa to shoot international music videos.
