Taifa Stars Coach Adel Amrouche faces an eight-match ban from CAF
National team coach of Tanzania, Taifa Stars, Adel Amrouche, seems to have bid farewell to the Afcon Finals after the Confederation of African Football (CAF) handed him an eight-match ban due to his remarks against Morocco.
The disciplinary action was announced on January 18 by CAF's Disciplinary Committee following complaints filed by the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (RMFF).
The RMFF accused Amrouche of stating that Morocco has influence within CAF in arranging matches and decisions.
Having taken charge of Taifa Stars in 2023 and guiding them to qualify for the ongoing Afcon Finals in Ivory Coast, Amrouche had already led Stars in one match of the tournament against Morocco, resulting in a 3-0 defeat.

This might be his last match with Stars, as they are in Group F alongside Morocco, Congo, and Zambia.
With two group stage matches remaining against Zambia on January 21 and DR Congo on January 24, Amrouche will miss four more matches if Tanzania advances to the final, considering the number of games he has been banned from.
