Nigeria-based Soundcity radio and TV stations have recently unveiled the nominations for their 2023 Soundcity MVP Awards and different acts such as Bien and Khaligraph Jones have been nominated.
Different Kenyan artists including Sauti Sol's Bien, prolific rapper Khaligraph Jones, The Burukulyn Boyz and the celebrated Wakadinali have been nominated at the 2023 Soundcity MVP Awards.
The talented singer Bien has been nominated for the song of the year category with Mbwembwe featuring Aaron Rimbui. The song is competing with other African hits such as Mtasubiri by Diamond Platnumz Featuring Zuchu, Last Last by Burna Boy, and Buga by Kizz Daniel among others.

The celebrated Burukulyn Boyz have been nominated For the Group Of The Year Category while Wakadinali who made waves in Kenya in 2022 has been nominated In The Best Hip Hop and Best New MVP category along with other rising African acts such as Ayra Starr, Fave and Phina among others.
The lyrical genius Khaligraph Jones represented the East African rap game as he bagged the Best Hip Hop category together with Wakadinali.
