Soundcity Music Awards Festival is back. This year, several Tanzanian artists such as Diamond Platnumz, Zuchu, Phina and others have once again grabbed the 2023 Soundcity Awards Nominations.
A few days after AFRIMA wrapped up their 2022 edition, the prestigious Soundcity MVP Awards decided to unveil the nominations for their 2023 edition and as usual, some Tanzanian acts including Diamond Platnumz and Zuchu have bagged the nominations.

Diamond Platnumz seized 5 nominations for Listener's Choice, Best Male MVP, Video The Year With Mtasubiri, Digital Artist Of The Year and Artists Of The Year where he is battling with Burnaboy, Wizkid, Rema, Asake and his protégé Zuchu among others.
Zuchu, who is also the most subscribed female artist in Sub-Saharan Africa, bagged 4 nominations. The WCB Princess has been nominated as Artist Of The Year, Video Of The Year With Mtasubiri, Digital Artist Of The Year and Best Female Artist where she is competing against Tems, Ayra Starr, Tiwa Savage and many others.

Phina bagged the Best New Artist Category, competing against Ayra Starr, Fave, Black Sheriff, Costa Titch and many others.
