Nigerian singer Lojay has set the music scene buzzing after teasing his upcoming single Memories, a collaboration with South African star Tyla.

The announcement, made on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, has already generated excitement among fans eager to hear the blend of two of Africa’s most prominent voices.

The teaser arrived in the form of a striking video clip. In it, Lojay is seen dressed in a relaxed, stylish outfit as he strolls through what appears to be a modern art gallery. The space, with its red ceilings, bold blue and red walls, and large windows overlooking a city skyline and waterfront, sets the stage for a cinematic preview. As he moves past abstract paintings and ceramic pieces, snippets of the song play, revealing a mix of Afrobeats and R&B layered with themes of lost love, regret, and lingering connections.

Tyla does not appear in the visual, but her distinct vocals are heard on the track, signaling her strong presence in the collaboration. The teaser closes with a simple message on screen, “MEMORIES. OUT SOON.”

The upcoming single brings together two artists who have carved unique paths in the global music industry. Lojay, best known for his hit Monalisa and his joint project with producer Sarz, has built a reputation for blending Afrobeats with soul and amapiano. Tyla, meanwhile, catapulted to international fame with her breakout hit Water, praised for her fusion of R&B and amapiano.

With both artists pushing the boundaries of African music on the global stage, Memories is already being tipped as one of the most anticipated collaborations of the season.
