Khaid drops tribute song 'Forever' for Mohbad, to give his wife N2 million

In his way to pay tribute and support the family of the late Nigerian rapper Mohbad, Khaid drops a new song titled Forever.

Nigerian rapper Ilerioluwa Aloba, better known as Mohbad, died at the age of 27 on September 13, 2023. While the cause of his death was unknown, fans and colleagues paid tribute to the rapper, who was previously signed to Naira Marley's Marlian Records, on social media.

Today, September 19, 2023, Neville Records signee Khaid confirmed his pledge to offer Mohbad's family two million naira in support, as well as to remit 100% of the royalties from his newly released tribute song Forever to Mohbad's son, Liam Aloba Eyinimofeoluwa.

In his words, he wrote, "It’s with great pain that I pen this, the past few days have been a rollercoaster of emotions for each and every one of us. We lost a special talent, a great personality and a friend “Imole”. In my own little way I'll love to support the family by giving N2 Million to the Wife of our late brother and covey 100% Royalties of the newly released tribute song “Forever” to Liam Aloba Eyinimofeoluwa. Rest On IMOLE 🕯️🕊"

The Nigerian police launched an official investigation into his death yesterday, September 18, 2023, to determine the circumstances surrounding his death.
