Iyanya Narrates Interesting Story About Collaborating With Nicki Minaj
The talented Nigerian singer gave a load down of how it went when he wanted to put the queen of rap on a song.
Nigerian singer Iyanya Onoyom Mbuka, popularly known as Iyanya, has given a detailed narration about a Nicki Minaj feature that was supposed to happen.
The singer, who already featured heavyweights Tekno and Mayorkun on the remix of his tune titled 'One side', is currently pushing his latest single 'Plans'.
Sharing to Twitter, the singer narrated the backstory of how he and his manager Ubi Franklin tried to feature American rap star Nicki Minaj on the remix of 'Ur Waist', an afrobeats smash tune by Iyanya that rocked the wave then.

According to Iyanya, all efforts to get the queen ended up futile, due to financial constraints. Part of the lengthy tweet read :

@Therealdtunes changed everything and we recorded “Ur waist” and we were clear that was the next single.
Ur waist was so massive we decided it should go international and we needed the right artiste to help with that journey.
@ubifranklin1 suggested Nicki Minaj and I asked how we’re gonna pay for that, he laughed and said “if your dreams don’t scare you, they aren’t big enough”
We started making contacts to who will get us Nicki Minaj and we found someone Who had direct contacts and he asked that we fly to Atlanta for a meeting with him and then he will take us to meet Nicki Minaj for the collaboration.
