The Instagram post has become the most liked post by a sportsperson, overtaking Cristiano Ronaldo's post of himself and Messi playing chess.

Messi's picture which was posted on December 18th, 2022 just a few hours after lifting the trophy had over 57 million likes.

However, Ronaldo's picture which was posted on Saturday, November 20th, 2022 has a little over 42 million likes as of the time of reporting this news. The post by the former Manchester United player was the highest number of likes by a spokesperson but has been overtaken by Messi.
