Jury Takes Decision on the Physical Assault Accusation Against Ryan Giggs
Former Manchester United player, Ryan Giggs has been released by the court after the jurors sitting on his case failed to pass a verdict on the case.

Giggs was accused by his former partner Kate Greville, of causing her actual bodily harm, and behaving in a controlling or coercive manner towards her between August 2017 and November 2020. However, thr former Red Devils player pleaded not guilty to all that he was accused of by his former partner.
The former Wales manager also pleaded not guilty to a common assault on Kate's sister Emma Greville. Giggs denies all charges and was standing trial at Manchester Crown Court.
The jury of seven women and four men were deliberating verdicts for 22 hours and 59 minutes but were unable to reach a verdict all jurors agreed upon for any of the counts.

The case has been adjourned until a further hearing on Wednesday, September 7th, 2022 when the prosecutor Peter Wright QC is expected to announce whether the CPS will seek a retrial. He told the court that a decision will be taken on whether it is in the best interest of the public to pursue the case.
