Chocolate City accuses Odumodublvck of assaulting staff member

Chocolate City, home to artists like MI Abaga and Blaqbonez, have accused Odumodublvck of assaulting a staff member.
Nigerian music powerhouse, Chocolate City Music, has released a scathing official statement today, accusing popular rapper Odumodublvck of physically assaulting a member of their staff at the high-profile Rhythm Unplugged concert last night.
The incident marks a severe escalation in the ongoing and increasingly acrimonious dispute between Odumodublvck and the Chocolate City camp, particularly involving artist Blaqbonez.
In their formal press release, Chocolate City did not mince words, stating: “What began as a rap beef between our artist Blaqbonez & Odumodublvck has devolved into a sustained campaign of harassment, stalking and physical violence that now endangers our entire team.”
The label expressed profound concern for the safety of its personnel, indicating that the incident at Rhythm Unplugged was not an isolated event but rather the culmination of what they describe as a "sustained campaign" of intimidation.
While the identity of the alleged assaulted staff member has not yet been publicly disclosed by Chocolate City, sources close to the label suggest it may involve figures previously embroiled in the online feud, such as Olayinka Osagie Onobun, the Head of A&R, who recently filed a criminal summons against Odumodublvck for alleged criminal intimidation.
This alleged physical altercation at one of Nigeria's premier music festivals sends shockwaves through the industry, transforming a contentious social media "rap beef" into a grave legal and safety concern. Previously, the conflict had been confined to heated exchanges on X (formerly Twitter) and a subsequent court order for Odumodublvck to appear before an Abuja Chief Magistrate Court.
Chocolate City's statement strongly suggests that they will be pursuing further legal avenues. "We will not stand by while the safety and well-being of our dedicated team members are jeopardized," the statement concluded, indicating that more severe legal actions, potentially including civil lawsuits and further criminal complaints, are imminent.
Representatives for Odumodublvck have yet to issue an official response regarding these grave new allegations.
