BNXN breaks silence after fans were locked out of Lagos 2025 concert

BNXN, in his latest comment on social media, has reacted to fans who were denied entry to his concert in Lagos after purchasing tickets.
BNXN has reacted strongly after several fans were denied entry into his Lagos 2025 concert, which took place on Friday, December 19, 2025, despite reportedly holding valid tickets.
In a heartfelt statement following the incident, the singer apologised to affected fans and condemned the organisers’ handling of the event, accusing them of putting profit ahead of fan safety.
“The show organizers prioritized profit over the safety of the fans and it should never have been so,” BNXN said. “I am so sorry to everyone who had valid entry and still couldn’t make it into the show.”
The artist made it clear that the situation goes against his values and relationship with his supporters, stressing that he would never knowingly put fans at risk.
“I’d never want to put anyone that loves me or my music in that kind of reckless position and I sincerely apologize,” he added.
BNXN also pointed to overselling of tickets as a major cause of the chaos, calling out what he described as unnecessary greed on the part of organisers.
“If tickets are sold out, close the purchase link,” he said. “It could all be so simple but for that extra… that ‘just a little more’… that greed… Super unfair.”
Reports from the concert venue in Lagos indicated that large crowds gathered outside, with some ticket holders unable to gain access due to capacity issues, raising concerns about crowd control and event planning.
Many supporters have since called for stricter regulation of concert ticketing and better safety standards at large-scale music events in Lagos.
The incident has reignited conversations around event organisation, crowd safety, and accountability within Nigeria’s fast-growing live music scene, particularly during the busy end-of-year concert season.
