    Oxlade is a Nigerian Afro-Pop singer/songwriter known for his rich harmonies and signature falsetto. A leading voice in the new wave of Afrobeats, his poetic lyricism and heartfelt melodies have earned him a loyal fanbase, The Oxygenes.

    Early years

    Born Olaitan “Oxlade” Abdulrahman Ikuforiji on April 22, 1997, in Mushin, Lagos, Oxlade's musical journey began in the school choir, sparking a passion for songwriting and sound experimentation. While studying History & International Relations at Lagos State University, he started building an audience by performing at events and sharing his music online.

    Oxlade's Breakout

    His breakout came in 2018 with Shugar, followed by Sing with Fireboy DML, leading to collaborations with global stars like Whitney Houston, Camila Cabello, Davido, and Sarkodie. Over the years, Oxlade has delivered numerous hits and milestones. In 2019, he performed at Wizkid’s Starboy Fest at London’s O2 Arena. His 2020 EP, Oxygene, featured Away, named one of Rolling Stone’s Top 50 Songs of the Year. He later signed with Epic Records France and Columbia UK, expanding his reach with Want You and the viral hit ‘Ku Lo Sa’, which charted globally and achieved Gold certification in multiple countries.

    Oxlade has also performed alongside Usher, Rihanna, and Wizkid, earning nominations at the MOBO Awards and The Headies. In 2024, he released his debut album, ‘Oxlade From Africa (OFA)’, which became the second highest-streamed Nigerian album of the year, featuring collaborations with Bobi Wine, Dave, Fally Ipupa, and more. Following a sold-out 40-stop tour across Europe and North America, Oxlade kicks off this year with ‘Oxlade From Africa (Deluxe)’ and is set to unveil even more exciting projects.
