The final round of the qualifying series for African countries ended at five major centres today, Tuesday, March 29th, 2022.

The first leg of the matches was played on Friday, March 25th, 2022. The representatives for Africa at the Qatar 2022 World Cup includes;

The Pharaohs won the first leg 1-0 against the Terenga Lions of Senegal in Egypt, while the second leg was won by the Senegalese on penalties with Sadio Mane being the hero for the West Africans.

Tunisia did the North African proud in the first leg following a 1-0 victory over their Malian counterparts.However, there was nothing to separate both teams in the second leg as it ended goalless. Tunisia booked their spot at the Qatar 2022.

The fans of the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon were left disappointed as they lost the first leg of the game 1-0 against Algeria. The second leg ended 2-1 in favour of Cameroon, they qualify based on away goal rule.

The biggest surprise of the first leg games was between DR Congo and Morocco, the game ended 1-1 against all odds. However, the second leg was totally different from the first as the North Africans won the game 4-1, winning the tie 5-2 on aggregate.

The Super Eagles could not break the Ghanaian defence in the first leg of the game, the match ended goalless in Kumasi. Ghana qualified to the World Cu on away goal rule as the game ended 1-1 in Abuja.
