The news which was announced on Tuesday, April 26th, 2022 will be exciting for Novak Djokovic and his fans. This means the former World Number 1 will be allowed to compete in the tennis competition after missing out on the Australian Open earlier in the year because of the issue of Covid-19 vaccination.

The Serbian had earlier in the year confirmed that he was not ready for the vaccine at the expense of winning himself more grand slam titles. He also said he is not against the vaccine but he believes in free will and believes everyone should be allowed to make a choice.

I was never against vaccination, a.dding that he took vaccines as a child. But I’ve always supported the freedom to choose what you put in your body.

The organisers of Wimbledon have also confirmed that Russian media representatives, along with players, would be barred from coming into London.
