William Saliba breaks silence on his contract situation at Arsenal

Arsenal first choice defender, William Saliba has broken silence about his future at the club with less than three years left on his current contract.

William Saliba was speaking in a pre-match press conference ahead of the second leg game between Arsenal and PSV in the UEFA Champions League. According to the french defender, there is no conversation concerning a contract extension between himself and the club because there are still years left on his deal.

"Not yet, because I have some years left on my contract. There is no rush at the minute. I am happy here at Arsenal. That’s it. I am really happy here at Arsenal. I have 2 years and half on my contract and I want to continue here. I want to win big things with Arsenal. If you leave this club and you don’t win anything then the fans will forget about you. I wanna win here”.

Saliba has been a key part of Arsenal success in the last few years but he would hope that his efforts at the club will replicate into a tangible trophy in no distant time.

The Gunners are currently one foot away from the quarter-final of the Champions League after thrashing PSV 7-1 in the first leg. Arsenal supporters will hope this is the season when they win the most lucrative club competition in the world.
