Here is why Lionel Messi will miss Argentina's international friendlies

Reports now indicate that Lionel Messi has dropped out of Argentina's squad and would miss the country's international friendlies.

It has been stated that Argentina's captain and the Ballon d'Or 2023 winner Lionel Messi would not be available for his country ahead of games against El Salvador and Costa Ri8ca,

The reason behind this decision has been revealed to have been based on the fact that Messi had picked up a minor knock while on duty for his club side Inter Miami. This was confirmed in an official statement released confirmed that Messi had picked up a hamstring injury which would see him miss the international friendlies for Argentina scheduled to take place in the United States.

The statement reqad, "The captain of Argentina Lionel Messi, will not be able to be in the squad for the friendlies in USA due to a minor injury to the hamstring of his right leg suffered in his team's Inter Miami's match against Nashville SC."
