Chelsea FC is set to lose another midfielder in N'Golo Kante and many football fans are concerned about the negative effect of this move for the club.

According to reports N'Golo Kante has agreed to join Saudi Arabia outfit Al Ittihad from Chelsea FC, and fans are concerned as to why this has happened.

The move of the influential Chelsea midfielder from the club is one many did not anticipate or see coming, as N'Golo has been viewed as a player no club or coach should let go of. It was, however, confirmed that the contract renewal talks had failed to progress following the differences encountered when the deal was offered.

The tribuna indicated that Boehly-led Chelsea had offered a two-plus one-year contract that Kante's team had requested be increased to a three-year contract. Talks of a contract extension did not improve from here on till the end of the season as fans who had attended Chelsea's final game indicated that N'Golo had also confirmed the uncertainty surrounding his future.

Football London reported:

The 32-year-old was seen clapping supporters after the 1-1 draw against Newcastle on Sunday afternoon despite not featuring in the final fixture of the season. As Kante made his way around the pitch at Stamford Bridge, one fan shouted: "We will see you next season," in the direction of the Frenchman.

To which Kante responded: "We'll see." It would not have been the positive response supporters were hoping to hear as the Chelsea star did little to ease concerns that he could leave the club after a successful seven years in west London.

It is, however, uncertain if the wage structure also played a vital role in finalising Kante's decision as sports journalist Fabrizio Romano revealed that the French maestro had been offered a deal expected to be worth 100 million Euros per season and a two-year contract he had wanted.
