It was a double celebration for the supporters of Tottenham Hotspur when the Premier League named Ange Postecoglou as the manager of the month.

The announcement was made on the official website of the Premier League on Friday, September 15, 2023. The Australian has changed the dynamic of Spurs since he took over the club, making them a more attacking side than they were in previous seasons.

Ange Postecoglou, the first Australian to manage in the Premier League, is only the second Australian to win a monthly award, after Mark Schwarzer, who was the Player of the Month way back in February 2010 with Fulham.

He beat Mikel Arteta, Pep Guardiola, Jurgen Klopp and David Moyes to win the award after votes from the public were combined with those of a panel of football experts.

This makes Spurs awards double after James Maddison was voted August's player of the month. They are the fourth Spurs manager and player duo to win Premier League awards in the same month.
