Who are the nominees for the 2025/26 Premier League player of the season?

As we official countdown to end of the 2025/26 Premier League seaosn, the body has released a shortlist of eight players who were outstanding for their respective clubs throughout the season.

Arsenal dominate the shortlist with three players which included Gabriel Magalhães and Declan Rice are joined by goalkeeper David Raya, highlighting the Gunners’ impressive defensive consistency throughout the campaign.

Former Premier League champions Manchester City also have multiple representatives on the shortlist. Norwegian forward Erling Haaland earns another nomination after another prolific season in front of goal, while Antoine Semenyo is also recognised for his performances during the campaign.

Other players on the list include Bruno Fernandes following his fantastic season for Manchester United, while Morgan Gibbs-White is rewarded for his influential displays for Nottingham Forest. Igor Thiago also receives recognition following an impressive campaign with Brentford.

The winner of the award will be determined through a combination of fan votes and the decisions of a panel of football experts, with supporters already debating who deserves to take home one of the league’s biggest individual honours this season
