André Onana has returned to Manchester United following the end of his loan spell with Trabzonspor.

The Cameroon international is expected to report for pre-season training at Carrington as he prepares for the next stage of his career. Reports indicate that while Onana is back at United, the club remains open to offers for the goalkeeper during the summer transfer window.

After spending the 2025/26 season in Turkey, Onana returns to Old Trafford with uncertainty surrounding his long-term future. Manchester United are believed to be assessing their goalkeeping options ahead of the new campaign, with several clubs monitoring the 30-year-old's situation.

Despite the speculation, Transfer news expert, Fabrizio Romano confirmed that Onana will begin pre-season with the Red Devils and could use the opportunity to impress the coaching staff if a permanent move does not materialize.

The former Inter Milan joined United in July 2023 and went on to make 72 Premier League appearances, during which he kept 18 clean sheets and conceded 102 goals, while making 239 saves.

Across all competitions for the club, he accumulated around 100+ appearances (about 102 in total) and recorded roughly 24 clean sheets overall before his departure.

During his time at Old Trafford, he also won the FA Cup in 2024, but his spell was widely marked by inconsistency, with both high-profile errors and standout performances throughout his two seasons.
