The announcement was made on the league's official website on Wednesday, May 15, 2024. According to the report, the summer transfer window will open on Friday, June 14, 2024, and close at 11 pm BST on Friday, August 30, 2024. The winter transfer window will open on Wednesday, January 1, 2025, and close at 11 pm GMT on Monday, February 3, 2025, for the 2024/25 transfer windows.
The Premier League stated,
"To ensure harmonization with the major leagues in Europe, the closing dates were set following discussions with the EFL, DFL, Serie A, La Liga, and LFP, who will all close their summer and winter windows on August 30 and February 3 respectively."
