What is Rasmus Højlund's jersey number at Manchester United?

Rasmus Højlund has joined Manchester United as the club's first-choice striker, on a deal worth £65 million from Serie A club Atalanta.

The 20-year-old was given the number 11 jersey which was worn by Mason Greenwood who is currently on loan to Getafe. This transfer of Greenwood means that Rasmus Højlund will lead the Red Devils front line ahead of Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial.

The club confirmed in a statement that the forward was given the number 11 shirt because that was the number that he also wears for Denmark. At club level, Hojlund has never worn the 11 in senior football, only ever donning the shirt during his time with FC Copenhagen's Under-19s.

He scored 27 goals in 87 club appearances, which includes the ten goals he scored in Italy for Atalanta last season. Manchester United supporters will get to see him play for the first time against Arsenal at Old Trafford.

Højlund signed a five-year deal with Manchester United which will keep him at the club until 2028 with an option to extend by an extra year.
