N'Golo Kante, a former Chelsea player, could be making a return to the Premier League side, West Ham United, two years after leaving England to join the Saudi Arabian club side, Al-Ittihad.

The French international garnered attention from football enthusiasts due to his outstanding performance for France at the recent Euro 2024. He was recognized as one of the best players for France, winning the Player of the Match award more than once out of the six games he played in the tournament.

Transfer news expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed on his official social media accounts on Friday, July 19, 2024, that West Ham United have initiated discussions with Al-Ittihad to bring N'Golo Kante back to the Premier League.

However, reports from the Saudi-based club indicate that Kante has been deemed not for sale. The club's board views Kante as a highly professional player and a crucial part of their team for the upcoming 2024/25 season.

The 33-year-old moved to Saudi Arabia in 2023 after spending seven years with Chelsea. According to reports, he is content with his current club but is open to the idea of returning to London.

Kante played a pivotal role in the Leicester City team that surprised the world by winning the Premier League in 2016. He repeated this feat the following season with Chelsea after a £32m move to Stamford Bridge, where he also won the Champions League, FA Cup, and Europa League. In addition, he was named the Premier League and PFA Player of the Year in 2016-17.
