West Ham United Fine Kurt Zouma £250,000 following His Cats Incident

West Ham United have fined Kurt Zouma, £250,000 for kicking his cats in a video which was released on social media.

The news was confirmed by Mirror News on Wednesday, February 9th, 2022. According to the information, the defender also had his cats taken away from him by the RSCPA for kicking and slapping them.

A statement was released from the welfare charity confirming their decision to take the cats from the possession of Zouma.

Two cats are now in RSCPA care. Our priority has and always been the well-being of these cats. The cats have been taken for a check-up at the vets and will still remain in our care until the investigation is over. We are grateful to everyone who expressed their concerns for these cats. We were dealing with these issues before the video went viral online and are leading the investigation. We will continue to investigate and can not comment further at this time.

Zouma had since apologised as it concerns the incident. The money fined him is equal to two weeks wages, it will be sent to the animal support service.

Adidas also have terminated their contract with the defender, according to the statement released by the footwear company, no animal should go through the abuse those cats went through.
