The manager of Manchester City, Pep Guardiola has given his opinion about the comparison between Erling Haaland and Lionel Messi.

Guardiola was speaking after the Manchester derby which was played at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday, October 2nd, 2022. According to him, Haaland needs his teammates to bring out such performance but Messi can do everything all by himself.

Messi was the reason behind the success that Guardiola enjoyed during his time at Barcelona. The City manager won every trophy available to him during his first season in charge of Barcelona.

Haaland has also been in fantastic form since he completed his move from Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga to the Premier League. He has scored 14 league goals in 8 games and has been involved in 20 goals across all competitions.
