Chelsea Football Club started their Premier League summer series with a remarkable performance against Brighton and Hove Albion.

The Blues won the game 4-3 but the result does not give the perfect illustration of the match. Brighton opened the scoring in the first 13 minutes of the game through Danny Welbeck from a set piece routine before Christopher Nkunku equalised for the Stamford Bridge club. Both sides could have scored more goals before the halftime whistle but they could not so it ended 1-1.

Chelsea started the second half like a house on fire as Mykhailo Mudryk and Nicolas Jackson combined to score a wonderful goal. The Blues continued to dominate from there with goals from Conor Gallagher and Nicolas Jackson adding to the Chelsea tally.

João Pedro started the comeback for Brighton from the spot after Levi Colwill gave away a penalty. They got one more a few minutes from time after João Pedro eased through the defence to set up Undav for a slam dunk, but it was too little too late.
