It was an emotional scene for Gerard Pique and the supporters of Barcelona at Camp Nou who said his final goodbye to the club.
The Spaniard announced earlier in the week that he was hanging his boots from the beautiful game of football. Pique played his last game for Barcelona in the 2-0 victory in the league game against Almeria.
Pique was substituted in the 83rd minute of the game and he received a standing ovation from everyone at the Stadium. Pique has been fantastic for Barcelona since he joined the Catalonia club from Manchester United in 2008.
He played 615 games for the club, scoring 53 goals for the club. He has also won 30 major honours during his time at the club, including three Champions League titles.
