Real Madrid forward player, Vinicius Jnr gave an update on his future at the club amid rumour that he could leave for Saudi Arabia.

The Brazilian was speaking ahead of the UEFA Champions league clash against Atletico Madrid were he gave confirmed that he is currently committed to his contract with Real Madrid which expires in 2027.

He said,

'I am very calm because I have a contract until 2027 and I hope I can renew it as soon as possible because I am happy here. All the people love me and want me very much. I couldn’t be in a better place than here”.

He also spoke about losing the Ballon d'Or to Manchester City's midfielder, Rodri.

“No, people vote what they think. I have my thoughts. I never dreamed of winning the Ballon d’Or, when you are close you believe it, but I will have more chances. I’ve already won two European Cups and I’m here to win many more.”

Vinícius Junior also gave an insight on what makes him nervous on the pitch during a football match especially when decisions don't go his way.

He said,

“When the referees don’t give the card to others and when I protest for the first time and they give me a card. I do a lot of things I shouldn’t do, but in every game I’m getting better and calmer. So little by little I’m getting better. I’ve been here a long time, but people forget that I’m 24 years old and I still have a lot to learn and I’m going to keep learning until the end of my career”.

Real Madrid will hope that they get past their Atletico as they look to continue their quest to win the UEFA Champions League.
